Don't want your Windows 10 PC to appear like a bot? Here is how to change your computer's name on Windows 10 in a few super easy steps and make it a little more personal.

How to rename Windows 10 computer

Step 1: Click on the Start menu icon and then click on Settings.

Step 2: Once in the Settings app, click on System.

Step 3: On the left side menu, scroll down and click on About.

Step 4: Under Device specifications, click on Rename this PC.

Step 5: In the popup, type your new computer name - allows letters, numbers, and hyphens without spaces. Once done, click on the Next button and then Yes to confirm.

Step 6: On the next pop up, click on Restart Now or Restart Later for the change to take effect.

If you'll click on Restart Later, it will grey out the Rename this PC button in the Settings, showing you ("new-name" after restart) under your PC name. You won't be able to change your computer name again until after a restart.
